Disability Awareness and Equality Training
Overview: Interactive course to empower participants to understand the needs of disabled people. The content is tailored to suit specific service provider needs and ranges from one hour overview sessions to half and whole day in-depth sessions.
Audience: Front-line customer facing staff through to managers and senior staff.
Course Topics Include: DDA legislation review, disability demographics, social vs medical models of disability, user needs, identifying barriers to access and developing solutions, language and etiquette.
