Public Sector Equality Duty - Deadline for Public Authorities

November 2011: Public authorities in England (and non- devolved bodies in Scotland and Wales) need to prepare for the deadline of 31 January 2012 to publish information to demonstrate compliance with the general equality duty.

Equality Act Codes of Practice come into force

October 2011: On 6 April 2011, the Equality Act 2010 Codes of Practice relating to employment, services and equal pay came into force, replacing equivalent Codes under previous equality law.
