January 2013 - Deregulatory Changes to the Building Regulations and Approved Document M

The Building Regulations Minister Don Foster has set out in a Written Ministerial Statement to Parliament, a significant package of deregulatory changes to the Building Regulations in England.

Amendments include changes to:

·Part P (electrical safety in the home)

·Part M (access to and use of buildings)

·Part K and N (access, slips, trips and falls and glazing)

·Part B (fire safety)

·the building control system

The changes to Part M come into force from 6 April 2013.
