All training is carried out by a highly experienced consultant qualified as a Consultant Member of the National Register of Access Consultants (NRAC).

Disability Awareness and Equality Training

Overview: Interactive course to empower participants to understand the needs of disabled people. The content is tailored to suit specific service provider needs and ranges from one hour overview sessions to half and whole day in-depth sessions. 

Audience: Front-line customer facing staff through to managers and senior staff. 

Course Topics Include: Equality Act legislation review, disability demographics, social vs medical models of disability, user needs, identifying barriers to access and developing solutions, language and etiquette.

The Equality Act 2010 (Full or Update Courses)

Aims: Half and full day courses covering the key elements of the Equality Act 2010 in relation to disability discrimination and other relevant associated provisions.

Audience: Any employers, service providers, education providers, public authorities, designers and advisors who wish to develop their knowledge of current disability legislation and best practice.

Overview: Courses can be tailored to cover specific parts of the Equality Act 2010 in more detail. Popular examples are Education and Landlord and Tenant responsibilities.

Access Auditing, Access Appraisals and Access Statements

Aim: To allow technical staff to develop their skills in undertaking Access Audits, Access Appraisals and writing Access Statements. The courses are half or whole day sessions and are tailored to suit your learning needs.

Audience: Technical staff involved in the design, refurbishment, management and maintenance of buildings and facilities (architects, surveyors, engineers, fm etc)

Access Consultancy and Strategy Development

Aims: One and two day bespoke courses available, depending on the areas to be covered. 

Audience: Architects, Surveyors, Planners, Building and Facilities Managers and other professions working to provide Inclusive Environments. 

Overview: A detailed course covering Disability Legislation, Technical Standards and Inclusive Design concepts and management. It will empower the development of skills in access consultancy and long-term strategic development for businesses and organisations with property estates.
